how to validate the serial keys online?

If you have an opportunity to validate the serial keys online, using for instance ASP.NET, and if you want your software to be activated online, before the users get access to it, then, this solution would be even better than just storing the private key (password/secret phase) inside your own project. If you don't want to create your own, please take a look at http://serialkeymanager.com/!

So how do I exactly validate keys online on my asp.net server? There is no example code for that.

Thank you for your question, and sorry for a late reply.

In order to validate keys on your own asp.net server, you should be able to add the SKGL API as a reference. There is no code example for key validation, but you there is one for key generation: https://skgl.codeplex.com/releases/view/99637. It basically illustrates a client app and a server where the keys are generated.

Back to the question: So, the server should have a page that can process a request and later return a short answer: true or false. The client app can have some of the logic that you can find here: https://skgl.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest#SKGL - 2.0.5.2/For Serial Key Manager/SKM/SKM.cs.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
